Michael Jackson Diamond Celebration

To celebrate Michael Jackson’s 60th birthday, Sony Music and the Estate of Michael Jackson hosted a celebration that saw hundreds of fans come together for a jam-packed evening to celebrate with A-listers such as Angela Bassett, Blake Griffin, Gabrielle Union, Evan Ross and Tinashe, friends and Paris Jackson, Prince Jackson, Michael’s children, plus his brothers Jackie, Tito.

Hatch was brought on to produce the event at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas to honor the late music icon.

The night kicked off with a special early evening performance of Michael Jackson One by Cirque du Soleil, followed by an exclusive after-party at Daylight Beach Club. At the poolside birthday party, the Michael Jackson Estate joined forces with The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation to bring health care to southern Malawi. Paris Jackson, who is an Ambassador for the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, accepted the 2018 Elizabeth Taylor Legacy Award for Humanitarian Service awarded to their father posthumously. Following the award, the two announced an auction for a-one-of-a-kind, ruby and diamond studded pair of shoes dubbed “Number One” by Giuseppe Zanotti.

The night was capped by a DJ set from Grammy-winning producer/artist/DJ Mark Ronson and a surprise performance from Grammy Award-winning superstar Usher, who rightfully included an MJ tribute medley in his set.
