Hatch was hired as executive producer and designers of the 22,000 square foot two story former Barney’s department store in the Venetian Hotel’s Mall. The desire is for this experience to be fun, interactive and playful pulling from the rich history of Dead & Co and its roots with the Grateful Dead. Utilizing iconic imagery of Dancing Bears, terrapins and more, Hatch was tasked to build an experience that would satisfy the deepest of Dead Heads while always staying authentic to Dead & Co.
The experience hub was created to offer Dead & Company fans a free space to celebrate, shop, and explore the Grateful Dead’s legacy. In partnership with Vibee, a Live Nation destination experience company, it was open throughout Dead & Company’s residency at Sphere at the Venetian in Las Vegas.
